Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the mobile application CadaEuro (“Application” or “Service”). By installing or using the Application, the user (“User”) declares to have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms.

2. Scope and Purpose

These Terms define the rules for using the CadaEuro Application, which allows the User to:

• Register products and shopping values in real time;
• Create and manage shopping sessions;
• View totals and basic shopping history;
• Access simple analytics on consumption habits;
• Use optional AI features (list scanner, automatic categorization, and price suggestions).

3. Acceptance and Eligibility

Installation or use of the Application implies acceptance of these Terms. The Application is intended for individuals aged 13 or older.

4. Features and Availability

The Application operates in offline-first mode: shopping registration, lists, and totals work entirely on-device, without an internet connection.

AI Features (optional): The list scanner, automatic categorization, and price suggestions require an internet connection and cloud processing by subprocessors (see Privacy Policy). They can be disabled by the User in the Application’s Settings. These features are subject to daily usage limits to prevent abuse.

Notice on AI results: Content generated by AI features — including categories, suggested prices, and items recognized from images — is merely indicative and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. The User is responsible for verifying and correcting these results before making purchase decisions. Suggested prices do not constitute a commercial offer and do not bind any establishment.

Free Plan: The core of the Application is free and unlimited (shopping registration, completed lists, reusable templates, history, and statistics). AI features (Paste List, Enhance List) and the barcode Scanner require a CadaEuro Premium subscription.

5. In-App Purchases

We offer two auto-renewing subscriptions for CadaEuro Premium, processed by Apple (App Store):

• CadaEuro Premium Monthly: €2.99/month
• CadaEuro Premium Yearly: €19.99/year

Free trial: The first yearly subscription includes 7 free days granted by Apple, once per Apple ID and per subscription group. The monthly subscription does not include a free trial.

Billing start: Billing starts when the free period ends, unless you cancel before the trial expires.

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price, unless cancelled.

How to cancel: You can cancel at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Cancelling before the end of the trial prevents the first charge.

Legacy purchases: Users who acquired the one-time lifetime purchase (€29.99) before the transition to the CadaEuro Premium model retain permanent access.

All transactions are subject to App Store terms and Apple’s billing and refund policies.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights to the Application, including trademarks, logos, and code, belong to the Provider. Copying or reverse engineering without authorization is prohibited.

7. Privacy and Data

The Application does not require account creation. Shopping data resides on the User’s device. When enabled, AI features send the minimum data necessary to subprocessors (Fly.io and Google Gemini) and are not stored by the Provider. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Dispute Resolution

For complaints, contact us at terms@cadaeuro.pt. The User may also use the Electronic Complaints Book or the EU ODR platform.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.
